Take Out: Mamoun's Falafel

On a recent night, Doc Nut and I were hungry. We didn't have much time until our charity concert later on. What's close, cheap, delicious, and fast? Mamoun's! It's been a while since I've been here. But it hasn't changed. Still the West Village hole in the wall. And still serving good food.
Doc Nut opts for the classic falafel sandwich.

And I opt for the shawarma sandwich.
Both come packed into a half pita with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and sesame sauce. Hot sauce, optional. So good. So filling. They definitely hit the spot. And one is enough to hold me down for awhile. Mamoun's Falafel 119 Macdougal St New York, NY 10012 (212)674-8685 mamounsfalafel.com
