Craving thin crust pizza. Good thin crust pizza. We were going to be in the West Village area so a quick search on the web turned me to Spunto. Good reviews. Menu was decent. And price was decent. A quick walk from the subway led us to a nice little place offering delicious and ridiculously thin pizza. We were quickly seated, offered water, and menus. A quick peruse of the menu and we settled on the large (16" pie) Meat Lover's. Usually, I like to get some kind of vegetable on there. But that night was different. I strayed from my usual to his usual. And I was glad I did. The pie came out quickly. It was piping hot. It certainly was large. But the crust was so thin that it wasn't difficult for us to finish the whole thing. We've finished similar pies with thicker crusts. The Meat Lover's ($24) came with Italian Sausage, Pepperoni, and Andouille Sausage with cheese and a marinara sauce. It tasted really good. The meats weren't too heavy nor oil laden. The crust was cracker thin with a nice char. So good. I really liked this place. It was simple but the atmosphere was a little nicer. The service was attentive yet not overbearing. Plus, they smiled and were friendly. Our food didn't take a long time. We just enjoyed the whole experience. And the price was just right. We'll be back.
