Party food at home

You don't need to have a party to have pigs in a blanket. They are crowd pleasers at home too. And they're ridiculously easy to make. Start with just 2 ingredients: Pillsbury crescent rolls (regular not grands) and beef cocktail wieners. Take your dough out of the canister and roll it out slightly. Cut the dough into 32 triangles. Start by cutting diagonally through the whole thing making an X. Then cut vertically and horizontally through the middle creating a +. Now cut starting at the middle of each side meeting at the other middle of the other side. You'll create a diamond. Just keep cutting until you get the pattern below. Now open up your beef franks. The better your franks, they better this will taste. I like to go for the all beef kind. Now take one piece of dough and place the beef frank at the wider end. Start rolling it tightly until it's all wrapped up. Place on a parchment paper lined cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for about 10 minutes until golden brown. I like to serve them with brown mustard and ketchup. I've used puff pastry instead of the crescent rolls before. But the crowd wanted Pillsbury so I retracted. The fans want what they want. I just provide.
