Chicken Tikka Pita
I don't normally like fusion food. I'm mainly a purist and certain foods should just taste they way it should. But I do find some nice surprises once in awhile. And this was one of them. I was in NJ again with my Parsi family. Mrs. Executive Chef made some Chicken Tikka Pita sandwiches. She called them Parsi Gyros. No matter what they are called, they were delicious.
Stuffed inside a warmed pita was some homemade chicken tikka masala, some salad greens, and yogurt sauce. The chicken was delicious and super flavorful with its sauce. The greens added a good freshness and texture. Lastly, the tangy yogurt brought everything together. Simple and delicious. Fantastic to say the least.

Hungry, if you can bring over one of these to my office for lunch that would be GREAT!
ReplyDeleteHoly moly. It's an indian taco. Looks good with all the yogurt sauce.
ReplyDeleteThe pita bread is a bit thick, for sure it taste delicious, do know how to make pita bread? or have a recipe for that? Thanks :)
ReplyDelete@Ms. Blooming Tea: It is thick but a thinner pita would have fallen apart with all that yogurt sauce.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, I do not have a recipe for pita bread. Bread is one of those foods I have problems with. I'm still trying to master it.
