We ordered and drove to a spot where we could sit and enjoy our prizes. We unwrapped the sandwiches and found these lovely things. Here's my fried chicken and biscuit sandwich for breakfast. It was pretty big.

And here's what the inside looks like. The chicken was juicy, crispy, and well seasoned. The biscuit was ridiculously soft and fluffy with great flavor. I would love to be able to bake biscuits like these. Just heavenly!

And here's my friend's sandwich with a fried pork chop, cheese, lettuce, and tomato. He loved it. We all happily gobbled our sandwiches up. They were so incredibly good.

This place was a great idea and loved it entirely. We walked around after this meal to help us digest.

I'll never understand why fried chicken never caught on as a breakfast food up north
ReplyDelete@Anonymous: I agree! If we can do steak and eggs, we can do fried chicken!
ReplyDeleteMan, I'd eat regular fried chicken in the morning if I could. I'm sure other Americans would.
ReplyDeleteDon't need a biscuit sandwich to make it a bkfast. Mcdonald's tried with their chicken biscuit. Not that great though obviosuly. Need a chick-a-fila or soemthing in our neck of the woods perhaps.
Hi!
ReplyDeleteYou will have to come back to Chapel Hill, there are so many more places to try! I noticed your blog because my video blog is about Chapel Hill real estate but since we have to eat when we look at houses it's called http://RealEstateisHungrywork.com
I especially liked your post about the crepe truck at Johnny's. I didn't know about it.
