My colleague wanted something lighter that wouldn't bog him down for the rest of the work day. But I wasn't so silly. I wanted a burger. And burgers from pubs are notorious for their size and heft. And below, we have the montrous Perfect Pint Burger ($14) which came with cheddar and applewood bacon. The half pound of angus beef also came with a side of fries and pickle.

I ordered it medium rare but it came closer to medium to medium well. It was okay because meat was tender and juicy. The cheese was perfectly melted and the bacon was thick but crispy. The lettuce and tomato didn't do anything but add a textural difference. The bun was okay and held up through the entire massacre. The fries were salt, crispy, but soft on the inside. I suspect they were previously frozen but I didn't care. The frying was well done. Last, the pickle helped cleanse my palate after this big meal, especially after being washed down with a Guinness.

The burger here is as good as any pub burger around. Although, it isn't the best pub burger I've had but in a pinch (due to laziness or indecisiveness) it works just fine.
