Cooking: Truffled Stuffed Mushrooms

I wanted to make a twist on a dish this year and decided to change up the stuffed mushrooms by added some truffle flavors.

First I like to used portabello mushrooms because they're flavorful and large.

Removed the stems and gills. Use a spoon to scrape out the gills. The stems come off easily with a little nudge.
Chop it up finely.
Then add some oregano, chopped garlic, and some crumbled Ritz crackers. Season with salt. Or if you have it available, truffle salt.
And the delicious melted butter. But this isn't any ordinary butter. This is white truffle butter. So aromatic. So strong in flavor.
Then stuff each mushroom and place into oven or toaster oven at 375oF for about 15 minutes until browned.
The mushrooms have softened and the stuffing has come together. Does it taste good? Yes! Rich and buttery! Does it taste like truffles? Not the least bit! I guess it was lost with everything else. Oh well, next time, I'll try something else.
