Eataly: Gelati

Even though we were ridiculously full after dinner, we couldn't resist some gelati. There was no line and space to sit. How often do you get that at Eataly? So I opted for a very simple flavor just to sample their dedication to good ingredients: Sweet Milk.

Similar to vanilla, the Sweet Milk was rich and creamy without the strong vanilla taste. It was purely milk/cream and you can taste the goodness. It was really good.

Doc Nut chose the stracciatella which is sweet milk with chocolate shavings.
She also enjoyed the natural creaminess of the base gelato but the hints of chocolate folded in between layers was a special treat. I know she really liked this as well.
The gelato at Eataly was really nice. Though gelati can sometimes be heavy, they were actually pretty light. It was a perfect ending to the meal.

  1. Yum! I had the straciatella flavor last week there and loved it. Too bad the chaos of the environment really takes away from the enjoyment.

  2. @Ada: Yes, I agree that it can get unruly there sometimes. However, weekdays seem to be the best time. When I went after dinner on a Thursday night, no one was on line for gelato.
