Queens Food Tour: Lemon Ice King of Corona

Okay, now back on track. We walked further north into Corona for the Lemon Ice King. Yeah, you may recognize this place from the show King of Queens. However, it's so much more than just the opening sequence of a TV show. This place has been around for over 60 years. They're known for using real fruit juices and pieces in their ices. That is what makes them different.

On a hot summer day, you may find yourself faced with a long line. But wait. The line moves really quickly. In the meantime, you can decide which flavor you want. They do have over 3 dozen to choose from. I, of course, chose the lemon being a traditionalist. It was really good. Sweet and tart and oh so nice on a warm day. I happily ate it like a little school girl.

Some other flavors that were bought were lime, cantaloupe, and lime.
The Lemon Ice King is no joke. They do their craft very well and decades of experience shows in their product. I would gladly come back here for another ice...and another...and another.

  1. The hulk-green pistachio was a decent flavor. It was greener than the lime that is pictured above.
