The Last Grilling Session of the Summer

On the last few days of summer grilling, we went fancy with some steaks. It's a nice treat that's not too expensive for a crowd. We usually go for the sirloin which runs us about $7.99/lb. For about $30 of meat, we could easily feed a family of 5 adults. Not too shabby.

As usual, Mr. M&P and I were in charge of the steaks. I just simply rub salt, pepper, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes on the outside. Then on high heat, it goes on the grill for about 7-10 minutes on each side depending on how large your steak is and how well you want it to be cooked.

As you can see, we like our steaks on the red side. But feel free to cook it to your liking.
On the stove top, the asparagus and mushrooms were cooked.
Some lovely spiced rice to balance the meal out.
And a nice fresh salad to brighten things up.
We ended the meal with some homemade ice cream thanks to Ms. Pastry Chef. The flavor is chocolate cookies and cream. So good!!
Another fantastic meal. Homemade. Easy. Simple. Delicious.
