Landmark Tavern

Landmark Tavern hasn't disappointed me. The staff is friendly and the food is better than most pubs. So Mr. M&P and I went one day to enjoy some dinner. Surprisingly, the bar was packed. Normally, there are some people but this was really full. So we opted to sit in the back room which was quite and better suited for eating.

We both looked at the menu and was considering the burger again. We really should branch out. So we both picked new dishes. I had the Fish and Chips ($16) which is always a good measure for an Irish pub. The dish came out and it was huge. Two large pieces of beer battered cod deep fried and served over fries. A side salad, lemons, and tarter sauce garnished the plate. When I cut into the piece of fish, lots of steam came out. It was piping hot. Then I took a bite and it was delicious. The fish was tender and flaky while the crust was super crispy. I liked that the crust wasn't too thick. A squeeze of lemon brightened it up a bit more. I didn't need the tarter sauce whatsoever. I ate it as is with the lemon. I was really happy with this dish. I would definitely get it again. However, next time I might share the plate because it could easily feed two people.
Mr. M&P had the Sirloin Steak Wrap ($12) which was very generous in size as well. The sliced sirloin steak was wrapped with red bell peppers, mushrooms, caramelized onions, and cheddar cheese. He enjoyed the wrap because they were generous with the amount of medium-cooked steak they stuffed in it. He also liked that they lightly toasted the outside of the wrap. His dish was garnished with side salad and fries as well
Landmark Tavern does it again for us. It's a great neighborhood bar and restaurant. I'm glad to have it around.
