Tuesday Night: Raymi

Towards the end of  one year, my friends thought that we weren't hanging out enough. It's true, we weren't. So they started Tuesday night get-togethers. Every Tuesday, we'll pick a bar to drink, eat, and hang out for a couple of hours. Whoever can make it will attend. If you're busy, it's okay. There's always next week. So this is Tuesday Nights on Tasty Eating where you will find bars that serve food and how we like them.

On this recent Tuesday Night, we headed out to: Raymi
Raymi has been recently talked about as a the new Peruvian place to be. It's a Richard Sandoval restaurant who is famous for his Latin cuisines. Every Tuesday night, they celebrate Pigs & Tails Happy Hour all night. Perfect for our get together.
Here we shared the Tasting of Ceviche and Tiradito ($26; *note: not part of the happy hour menu*). You can pick 4 from all the whole selection. I let the waiter pick for me. He came back with a good selection corvina, striped bass, fluke, and tuna. Really refreshing, flavorful, and a good value.

Next we had the Chicharron Sliders ($8) with sweet potato, spicy mayo, and salsa criolla. Rich and fatty but well balanced with the condiments and garnishes.
The Pork Ribs ($8) in a spicy aji panca barbecue sauce was quite tasty. Meaty ribs covered in a sweet, spicy thick sauce.
The Crispy Tails ($6) were really good. Crispy skin and fatty meat in a soy, lime, and cilantro sauce. The perfect bar snack.
The Crispy Pig Ears ($6) were equally as good. So crunchy like potato chips but with much more flavor.
We ended the night with Peruvian Crispy Donuts ($10) with chancaca honey. Light doughnuts smothered in a sweet honey sauce. The perfect ending to a pork filled night.
The food at Raymi was very delightful and the service friendly. I wouldn't mind going back and ordering from their full menu while I sipped on pisco sours of course.
