My Trip to Atlanta, GA: Steak Dinner

For our last night in Atlanta, we had a repeat meal from our previous trip. We requested it because it was so amazing the first time that we had to have a it again. It was truly the piece de resistance.
These are grilled prawns in a cilantro citrus marinade. I helped make this dish and was very proud of it. In fact, I helped prep for Le Chef and I loved it. It was surreal to be working with a classically trained chef. Truly, the highlight of my experience.

Grilled lamb chops with rosemary and garlic. They're like delicious meat lollipops with the bone kept on. So tender, so flavorful. And with the perfect grill marks.
Asparagus blanched then cooked in butter. Even as a side dish this held up on its own very well. Tender fresh stalks.
And finally the steak. A whole beef tenderloin with an intense chanterelle mushroom demi glace on top. Talk about umani. This was super umami.
Fried potatoes on the side. These super crisp potatoes thinly julienned then fried until every piece on the outside crunches in your mouth. Inside were soft cooked potatoes. So good. And very well seasoned.
And dessert was an upside down peach cake which a guest made and brought over. I unfortunately fell victim to Bacchus and didn't make it to dessert. I took a nice long nap and woke up the next morning bleary eyed with fond memories of dinner the night before.
