Tuesday: Pounds and Ounces

Towards the end of  one year, my friends thought that we weren't hanging out enough. It's true, we weren't. So they started Tuesday night get-togethers. Every Tuesday, we'll pick a bar to drink, eat, and hang out for a couple of hours. Whoever can make it will attend. If you're busy, it's okay. There's always next week. So this is Tuesday Nights on Tasty Eating where you will find bars that serve food and how we like them.

On this recent Tuesday Night, we headed out to: Pounds and Ounces
This post is long overdue. When we came here it was still warm out and we sat outside. It was great people watching.

We ordered a whole bunch of appetizers to share. Below is the mac and cheese croquettes ($9) in white wine cheese fondue. These were just okay though the amount of cheese was grand. Cheesy balls in a cheese sauce.
Here was had the tuna tartare tacos ($14), chicken wings, crispy calamari ($12), and onion rings ($8). We also had asparagus fries and battered fries (not pictured).
Overall, the food was just okay. The menu made it seem like the food was going to be more interesting, but it was actually kind of boring. Nothing stood out. In the end, I'm not sure if I would go back to Pounds and Ounces. With so many good bars around the city, I don't think it's worth it to go to a ho hum one.
