Mitsuwa is a great place to grab hard to find Japanese and Asian groceries. But really, I go there for the prepared food. The food court is always busy so be aggressive. Their prepared sushi is also good to take home for a later meal. This post is mainly to showcase the former.
The ramen line is always long. Put your order in and just wait for your number to be called. In the meantime, find some seating. People are hawks when it comes to this. Don't be afraid to walk extremely fast to get a table.

So while I was waiting for my ramen, I snacked on the gyoza below. Mr. M&P got it for us to share. Why thank you! Yum yum. Crispy thin wrappers. Juicy pork and cabbage inside.
For his meal, Mr. M&P got the omelet over white rice. A classic homey dish. The kind I had at home growing up including spam in the omelet. This version had pork and seafood. The brown gravy is a must.
Another satisfying meal at Mitsuwa food court. I always try to eat before I food shop so that I don't become overly hungry and thus angry when grocery shopping.
