Dominique Ansel Bakery: Cookie Shot

The cookie shot is one of those desserts from Dominique Ansel Bakery that I really wanted from Day 1. It just sounded amazing. A warm cookie cooked into the shape of a shot glass then filled with sweet milk to be sipped and eaten immediately. That man and baking team is amazing!
So the cookie shot, similar to the Cronut, can be difficult to come by. They only served starting at 3pm and it's first come, first serve. One evening, Mr. M&P was in the area and decided to swing by and see if we can grab a couple. Lucky for us, they were still available around 5pm. Score! And what's even better is that you can order it to go. What?! Heck yes! So I ordered 2 (that's the max) and brought it back to the car (no parking in the area) and we enjoyed the treat.

If you order it to go, they give you the cookie and milk separately. So I displayed the beauty of the cookie, then slowly poured the cold milk into the chocolate covered inside. Then devour! That milk will start melting the chocolate and seep into the cookie. Sip and bite. Sip and bite. The result is a very fun way to eating cookies and milk.
You may ask, "What's the point? It's just cookies and milk." Well, yes it is. But it's interactive and the quality of the cookie and milk is superb. Now you can buy very good cookies and milk and just enjoy them together as well. And that's your prerogative. But I very much enjoyed this treat. So much so that we went back another time and did it again.
